I was so excited when Kaylyn and Annette asked me to be their wedding photographer for their spring NorthStar Golf Club wedding. I’ve actually known them for quite some time now as Kaylyn is one of my very best friends older sister! I’ve always thought of Kaylyn as the girl who can make people smile and laugh, she’s hilarious and has the biggest heart. Kaylyn and Annette compliment each other so well and they have so much fun together. Annette was so excited and relaxed on the wedding day, she had an infectious energy that brightened the room.

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day happened during the ceremony. Right before they were pronounced wife and wife and to share a kiss, Kaylyn stopped the ceremony and said, “Wait one second!” (I was not tipped off as to what was going on so I was a little confused at first!!) She proceeded to call up two of her groomsmen who gave her a stick of chapstick to apply as well as some fresh minty breath spray! Everyone was bending over belly laughing and Annette’s face was priceless. Once Kaylyn was ready, she grabbed her self a step stool (YES! A step stool!!!) to put herself at the same height as Annette. It was probably one of the funniest ceremony moments I’ve seen to date. It was perfect. I also need to mention how perfect their details were for this nautical themed wedding. They incorporated little anchors and a gorgeous navy, soft pink and ivory color palette into all of their details. Annette had a lovely waterfall bouquet and the best part was that Kaylyn had a bouquet, too! I love florals so the more the merrier! It was such a pleasure working with them and I can’t wait to show off their day!
