I’ve known these two lovebirds since high school! Yes, they are one of the few high school sweet hearts who were really meant to be, going on 10 years together!!
Olivia is actually one of my very best friends and I was super excited when she asked me to photograph their one year anniversary session at North Bank Park! She had an adorable picnic theme in mind. We staged a toast with their wedding day champagne glasses and a little red velvet cake! They were troopers, too — it was like 30 below in these photos but you’d never be able to tell. Olivia and Jon were super lucky on their 2016 wedding day, it was a sunny 60 degree day!
I’m actually shooting my other best friends’s sister’s weddings this weekend and the weather looks like it’s going to be great! So if you’re taking note, the end of March can really be a great time to tie the knot! 🙂
This Sunday marks their one-year anniversary and I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. Thinking back, I was pregnant and hoping that I would be able to get the back of my bridesmaids dressed zipped, hah! Luckily, Olivia let us pick out our own styles and I had selected a rather flowy dress so all ended up working out just fine. It was a beautiful day, one of my favorite memories was watching Olivia and her dad break it down after their formal father-daughter dance. It was epic! They choreographed the whole routine and it was a complete surprise! All of their guests were standing up to watch and I loved it so much!
Anyways, I’m wishing you both the happiest of anniversaries, congratulations because you deserve it <3! Here’s to many, many more years of love, happiness and friendship!
I’m loving photographing anniversary sessions and it’s becoming more and more of a popular request! Be sure to check out Kelsey and Zak’s one year engagement session here: http://laurenando.wpengine.com/2017/01/wintery-emerald-anniversary-celebration/
