The Barn at the Meadows set the scene for Clara and Philippe’s gorgeous wedding day. Planning this day began back in December after Philippe’s candlelit proposal to Clara alongthe Scioto Mile. Capturing this day was an absolute honor. Clara and Philippe’s vendors were all easy choices as The Barn at the Meadow’s is owned by Clara’s uncle. Her cousin is a talented DJ, and her sister, an incredible graphic designer (just look at that invitation suite!!).  The vision for this wedding day was brought to life with the help of family and friends and everything was simply perfect.

Their ceremony was so wonderful to witness. A few of my favorite moments included the washing of each other’s feet, (totally doesn’t sound interesting but it’s was genuinely a moving moment to witness) and when also when they took each other by the hands, forehead to forehead, quietly pronouncing their vows to one another. Their love was radiating and in the moment, queue the Lauren tears!! Oh, that gets me every time!

After the church ceremony, they exited with guests tossing beautiful rose petals! We sped off to the family farm Clara’s mother grew up on for some just married portraits. We literally skipped around to maximize portrait time and soaked in all of the just married feels! The pure joy these two feel when they are around each other is contagious. These portraits are always one of my favorites parts of wedding days.

Once the reception began, prayer was led by Clara’s grandmothers and a special toast was made to Philippe’s mother and father. It just so happens that the newly weds now share an anniversary with Philippe’s parents! ! The rest of the evening included the most delicious food, dancing, pie (SO much pie), and sweet tea.

Clara and Philippe, we loved every minute of our time with you! Thank you for making us feel like part of your family for the day! I’m so excited for you to see all the photos, but for now, here are just a few of my many favorites!
