Emilie and Tom’s wedding day took place on the farm Emilie’s grandmother grew up on, a place dear to Emilie’s heart. Wholesome Valley Farm was such a beautiful setting for this perfect August wedding day.
Dressed in her grandmother’s pearls and wedding gown she created with her own two hands, Emilie looked as beautiful as ever. When I arrived to her parents home, she was finishing her makeup and updo with the help of her sweet bridesmaids. Emilie’s exceptional DIY talents didn’t end there.
Not only did she make her own wedding dress, she made her all of the bouquets and centerpieces as well! This girl simply amazes me!
Emilie shared the sweetest first look with her father and gifted him a handkerchief with a letter sewn in. Some of my favorite parts of wedding days are capturing these little moments.
Emilie and Tom have such a sweet relationship. I enjoyed capturing them with all of their best friends but my favorite part of the day was taking portraits of just the two of them on the porch of the home Emilie’s grandmother grew up in.
At the reception, they were surrounded by their closest friends and family. It’s so special to have all of the people you love all in one place! I feel so incredibly honored to have spent this day with them. Their friends and family made us feel so welcomed.
Emilie and Tom, we loved every minute of our time with you! Thank you for making us feel like part of your family for the day! I’m so excited for you to see all the photos, but for now, here are just a few of my many favorites!
