The last day of September ended with perfect fall weather and a gorgeous downtown Columbus COSI wedding! Caitlin and Justin’s wedding on the Columbus riverfront with skyline views was an amazing backdrop to their day. And look at this ceremony! The steps leading off what was once an old high school made for such a grand and beautiful setting.
I was so excited when Caitlin contacted me to photograph their wedding day. It had been awhile since we’d been in touch but Caitlin and I met in middle school! I remember us singing in choir together and always jamming out to Fall Out Boy. Once high school rolled around, I was districted to a different high school from all of my Hilliard Memorial friends. So seeing so many old friends from my middle school and high school days was a blast!
Caitlin and Justin are high school sweet hearts. It’s so evident that they best friends who share a passion for travel, family, friends, and their beloved dog, Dulce! They’ve already traveled so many places around the world together. I’ve always loved following along with their travels.
I really enjoyed the little touches Caitlin planned for their wedding. Specifically, all of their table centerpieces included a photo of an adoptable dog with a little story about them on the back. I thought that was just the sweetest thing ever!
If you make it to the bottom of this post, you’ll see how this group knows how to have a good time. Photographing this reception was by far one of my favorites to date! One of my favorite moments was the maid of honor’s speech. Laurie wrote lyrics about how Caitlin and Justin came to be and rapped about it. My words can’t describe how AMAZING it was!
Caitlin and Justin, we loved every minute of our time with you! Thank you for making us feel like part of your family for the day! I’m so excited for you to see all the photos, but for now, here are just a few of my many favorites!
