Alyssa and Greg are such a sweet and fun-loving couple! Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of them. Their ceremony was held at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church which was also the same church that Alyssa’s parents were married. The exterior of the church was beautiful and was the backdrop for some of my favorite portraits! Their reception followed at The Grand Event Center which is a beautifully modern space.
Guests attended from near and far and that was truly special and meant so much to the bride and groom. This was also fitting of their travel themed reception! I absolutely love Alyssa and Greg’s love story so I just have to share how it all began!
How they met:
From the bride: “Many folks say Paris, France is the city of love. We disagree, Athens, Greece is the TRUE city of love… as that is the exact location where our love story began. On a June 2015 day my cousin (Katie) and I laid by the pool at out hotel in Greece. She received an invite to go out that night with a group of Untied States Marines. Of course, Katie and I are always up to meet new people so she gladly accepted! The night went on like any other night out on the town, drinks, laughter, etc. Greg on the other hand was enjoying his night by stacking the cups on the table, which may be the exact reason we had no encounters with each other until later that evening (haha). As the night was ending, Katie and I knew it was time to go back to our hotel. Two of the Marines, being they gentlemen they are, decided to share a taxi with us to make sure we got home safe… and that was where Greg and I first introduced ourselves”.
From the groom: “As I slid into the back seat of the taxi I heard the most beautiful voice I have ever heard say ” Hi! I’m Alyssa!”. I looked to my right and there she was. We began to converse and decided that we should all go back to the Marine house to hang out some more before escorting the ladies back to their hotel for the night. If you ask me, I thought the night went smoothly and I was as cool as a cucumber. If you ask Alyssa; however, she’ll tell you how quiet and awkward I was. Either way, I must have not been that bad because we would see each other twice more before she would leave to go back to the States. We continued to talk everyday and eventually she would come back to Greece to visit me. The rest is history!”
We loved every minute of our time with you, Mr. and Mrs. Toczek! It was an honor to capture your wedding day. I’m so excited for you to see all the photos, but for now, here are just a few of my many favorites!
