What an honor it was to capture Alyssa and Tyler’s wedding day at Westin Great Southern Columbus and one of my absolute favorite church’s, Trinity UMC! The day began at The Westin, in a spacious and perfectly lit bridal suite. It was definitely a photographer’s dream!
From there we headed to Trinity UMC — a perfect pairing for a bright and airy look. But even more significantly, it was the church Alyssa’s parents and sister both got married. Pastor Katy always leads a beautiful ceremony — I love the energy and excitement she brings.
We quickly made our way back to The Westin after a few quick bridal portraits to enter the most stunning ballroom! If you’re looking for light and romantic ballroom — this is for you!
From the bride: Tyler and I met by chance at a bar crawl where I had to earn extra points for my team by asking a stranger in the bar for their business card. Tyler turned out to be that stranger. Once we started dating, we found out that our moms went to high school together and that our grandparents had been friends for over 50 years! Once word got back to them that we were seeing each other, there was no going back! About a year and half later, Tyler proposed in Vernazza Cinque Terre, Italy. It was beautiful to say the least. Our vision for our wedding is a lot like our relationship — classic, uncomplicated, and just a little untucked and fun. We will be married in the sanctuary at Trinity United Methodist Church — the church that my parents and my sister were married in.
