I’m sure I’ve mentioned how much I love detail shots. Crisp, clean and well lit — these are shots that I want to make sure I’m taking a few extra moments to do right! Before the wedding day, I send my clients a short list of items they might want to pack for me to photograph.

Aside from your rings, flowers, jewelry, shoes and hairpieces, these items include details such like: wedding invitations, a special ring box, family heirlooms, cufflinks, cultural items, pictures, printed pieces, a special bottle of perfume and any unique items you’ve put thought into! These detail shots add a personal and sentimental touch to your wedding album, and they are just so darn pretty to look at! 🙂

I also encourage brides to think about getting a wooden hanger for your dress, they photograph well and are great keepsakes for years to come. Have these items ready to go for when I arrive, that way I can spend more time focusing on the spontaneous moments when everyone is together.
