The Santa Barbara Courthouse is one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions in the city. There are so many gorgeous architectural aspects and plenty of indoor and outdoor options for photos. I was recently asked about rain locations for the winter months in Santa Barbara and the courthouse was one of my top recommendations. While it’s not likely rain will be in the forecast, coming from the midwest, I know it’s always important to have a backup plan!
If your planning a Santa Barbara courthouse engagement session, wedding, or elopement, I would love to be a part of it! Pricing for elopement wedding photography at the Santa Barbara courthouse begins at $1500. Contact me here to start planning your elopement!
If you’re looking for locations to pair with the Santa Barbara courthouse here are a few ideas:
Santa Barbara Botanic Garden ($100 permit) This location also has a small redwood forest that’s dreamy for photos!
Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara/Montecito is a beautiful location for wedding and elopement photography
Goleta Butterfly Grove This location has sweeping coastal views and beach access
Eloping in Santa Barbara just makes sense. It’s one of those places that feels special without trying too hard. You can say your vows in a beautiful courthouse, then be at the beach or in the mountains within minutes. The weather is usually on your side, the light is incredible, and everything feels relaxed but still elegant. There’s no pressure to overplan or overdo it. You get stunning scenery, great food, and a laid-back coastal vibe that lets the day feel personal and meaningful—focused on the two of you, not the logistics.
